I have nearly three decades of experience in business and information technology. I hold a Diploma in business and information systems engineering from Wismar University of Applied Sciences, Germany, and a Master of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from FernUniversität in Hagen, Germany, at the Research Group on Parallelism and VLSI.
Since 1996, I have held technical and leadership roles in the industrial and telecommunications sectors, focusing on large-scale IT infrastructures, network architectures, and mission-critical systems.
In 2010, I transitioned to the public sector, where I was responsible for federal networks, overseeing their architecture, operations, and security across multiple federal authorities.

How do you measure the probability and impact of cyberattacks in complex networks?
In our recently accepted research paper, co-authored with Vincenzo Sammartino from University of Pisa, we present a novel digital twin-based approach that uses simulation techniques to analyze and quantify cyber risks across software-defined networks, cyber-physical systems, and Industrial IoT (IIoT) environments.
- My first research paper, co-authored with Prof. Keller from FernUniversität in Hagen and Prof. Spiekermann from the University of Applied Sciences Dortmund, was accepted at the 18th International Conference on Availability, Reliability, and Security (ARES 2023) in Benevento, Italy.
